Harry Brown's Joins The Safe Summer Kickoff Celebration

Harry Brown's is proud to have been serving the community for over 50 years as a locally owned and family-operated business. We see the entire community as part of our family. And that is why we are honored to participate in the Safe Summer Kickoff. The future of our community and nation are the children who are the focal point of this annual event.

So Much To See And Learn

The fun all began at North Alexander Park on June 1st. Children were provided with a raffle card for the scavenger hunt that was one of the highlights of the first-ever Safe Summer Kickoff. Kids were challenged to locate SWAT officers, firefighters, and other first responders to complete their bingo-style cards to earn an entry into the raffle. The motivation other than fun and learning was to be entered in the drawing for one of the 100 bicycles being given away, as well as safety helmets and other exciting prizes.

This creative learning experience allowed children to have a very positive experience meeting police officers, emergency services professionals, firefighters, and the team operating the North Air Care helicopter. Everything was hands-on and open to exploration by the curious and often impressed children. From looking inside the helicopter to operating a fire hose or handling the entry tools used by the SWAT team, children in the community got a unique glimpse into the lives of these dedicated public servants and possibly a taste of their future career choice.

Harry Brown's Contribution To The Future

It took dozens of dedicated volunteers and countless hours to bring the Safe Summer Kickoff to the community. But it also required a significant financial investment to provide the 100 bikes and safety helmets, and other prizes to inspire the children of Faribault and their families to partake in this event. And the entire staff at Harry Brown's is happy to have the ability to do their part with a $10,000 donation to make this event a reality.

Now 100 children in the community will enjoy the health benefits and fun of riding around on a new, perfectly functioning bike with a brand new safe helmet. These prizes will change the summer for many and serve as a reminder of their positive visit with many of the safety crews working in the community to keep everyone safe.

Harry Brown's Strong Bond With The Community

No one could have foreseen the changes that would occur from the first days of the business in 1968 to the significant sponsorship of the Safe Summer Kickoff. However, as the company grew over the last five decades, so did the connection and support of the community. Today, family is just as crucial to Harry Brown's as in 1968. But the family has grown to include every resident in the community and those in the neighboring communities of NorthfieldLakeville, and Owatonna.

As always, the Harry Brown's team appreciates the community's loyalty and support as they spend their hard-earned money at our dealership. And we pledge in return to continue to be a devoted member of the community and a steward that continues to invest in the future generations of Faribault and Minnesota.
