87th Annual Pet Parade

If you love pets, you were sure to enjoy the Faribault pet parade in August. Hosted by Faribault Animal Center, this event held a lot of fun events for pet lovers of all ages. Harry Brown’s was proud to partner with the Center for this special event.

Faribault Pet Parade

The parade started at the intersection of Second Avenue NW and Ninth Street NW. It continued on until it reached Faribault’s Central Park. There was quite a variety of floats for this year’s event with numerous categories. You could be in the parade with bicycles, tricycles, scooters, strollers, battery-powered vehicles, rollerblades and skateboards. You could bring dogs, cats, rabbits, farm animals, and unusual pets. Golf carts and ATVs were allowed if they were pulling a trailer as a float.

Festivities in the park followed the parade with live music from Kings of Swing and Jivan’ Ivan. The Parks and Rec cheerleading camp will provide a performance from the Spirit Team. Kids will enjoy face painting, balloon artists, all kinds of inflatables, and other activities that are set up in Central Park.

Staff from Harry Brown’s walked the parade route, saying hello to the various parade-goers along the route. The theme of this year’s parade was Time Travel, which made for some fun ideas and creativity.

Faribault Animal Center

Faribault Animal Center is a local store in Faribault that provides quality products for all kinds of pets.
