Zumbrota was established as a town in 1856 by Joseph Baily and D.B. Goddard. Today it has a population of 3,986 as of 2022. The town promotes itself as “the only Zumbrota in the world”.
- Zumbrota Covered Bridge: The last functioning covered bridge in Minnesota. It was originally installed in 1869, one year before the arrival of railroads to the area. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Crossings at Carnegie: Located in the original Carnegie Library building. It is a venue for shows and classes and a great place to purchase local art or take a class in pottery, art, or theater. This is also a venue for concerts and live music in the area.
- Hemp Maze Minnesota: This farm was established to educate and inform the public of the benefits found in a vibrant hemp industry. The maze is open during the growing season through October 31st. There is a gourd walk, a hemp hole game, a giant bench for photo ops, a kiddie graveyard, and a gourd sling target range.
